University of Alabama football coach Nick Saban’s daughter is being sued by one of her sorority sisters at Alabama after Saban allegedly assaulted her.
Naturally, the fight started, as all fights have historically, on Facebook. Saban’s daughter allegedly put a “no one likes you” comment on her Facebook. Words of war, right? But the whole thing culminated – allegedly – real injuries: a concussion and a deviated septum. Ostensibly, these injuries were “life-threatening.” Even setting aside the likely hyperbole, it is still pretty serious. The Plaintiff says she has suffered “repeated night terrors, anxiety, physical trembling, fears of dying from brain injuries, trouble sleeping, and intrusive recollections of the event.” She also alleges emotional injuries as well in her lawsuit, claiming that she has been seeing a psychologist for the “severe emotional trauma that she sustained from the beating.”
One piece of good news for Saban and his daughter is that this came out the same day as the Penn State report. Sports fans only have so much energy to devote to non-sports scandals and Penn State ones today.
